Trades recruitment in perth

Hi everybody,

I look at this site quite a lot but haven't posted for a while!
Does anyone know of any recruitment agencies for plumbers in perth, and also how feasible it is to try and get a job whilst still in the uk?
My other half is a plumber working towards his NVQ 2 at the moment and we want to try and get out as quickly as possible!
Has anyone else managed to get a job whilst still over here? I have been looking on the net but never really seem to find anything.....
Any info would be appreciated!!

Cheers,

Alli

Hi, I'm looking to get myself and family over to Brisbane on the skilled migrant visa, they asked for at least 5 yrs previous experience, I've been a spark for 23yrs and provided proof of training and past employment, they now say I have to take a skills test in London and it'll cost $1600 (bloody cheek)any way there are a number of agencies that I looked at, and they all had loads of immediate start dates, they asked for a C.V. and offered me a start on receiving it, but we're yonks away from getting there yet.

It'll depend on exactly what sort of job he'll be after ie subby,on the books,maintenance,domestic/house bashing, industrial, that kinda thing, good luck, search for labour agencies in au. on google.

Hi
Your other half may struggle to get taken on without proven practical plumbing experience in the UK as you need a license to do plumbing & part of the process of obtaining a license is proving you have experience.

He's got about 8 years experience, he just never got the paperwork and hopefully we'll be coming over on my visa (student nurse, just got to get on the graduate program for jan 2010) so he won't need sponsorship.
We were just wanting to get a bit of a feel for whats available, what employers want and what salaries they give, realise it might all change before we get there but just to get a ball park!

Thanks for all your help everyone
