Can any one let me know if a stay at home mother has to do a tax return even if they have not worked in oz (easy life) .
We are a little unsure if my other haft needs to fill one in .
Any stay at home mothers out there that have been here for a while
would love to know if you have or have not filled one in.

Eddie youll probably find if you havnt earned upto $6,000 in the financial year you wont have to do a return. We were also told if you pay an accountant to do it all for you(we did last yr was about $125) that you can claim their fee back next year on your tax return, hope this helps a bit

If you don't go after what you want, you'll never have it. If you don't ask, the answer is always no. If you don't step forward, you're always in the same place...
If you get a chance, take it, If it changes your life, let it. Nobody said it would be easy they just said it would be worth it...

Yes Cal is right about claiming the tax back for an accountant, however you never get the whole lot back, download the new tax year from the ATO, it's easy enough to do on line. Good luck
