help with tra please

my husband is a plasterer he did a 4 yr apprentership along side college. problem is my husband has lost his indentures for his apprentership. I have rang citb and every where to be told that you can not get replacements. The company my husband did his apprentership with has wrote a letter confirming that he completed a 4 yr formal apprentership with them. Can some tell me if this is going to be enougth for tra? he has his nvq 2 certificates and record of achivement from college which also has the companys name and address on. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

I am in a similiar situation, having miss-laid my apprenticeship details. I basically have gather whatever evidence I can and have gone down the route of a statuatory decleration and corroborating letter from a third party. I did call the TRA and had a chat with someone there for advice. Found them helpfull, but whether the info I got was enough, will have to wait and see as it is with the TRA now.

Hi, i did my hairdressing apprenticeship/training 20 odd years ago so obvioulsly i had no proof from former employees so i just wrote down what i did and what duties were carried out. I sent my certificates off which is evidence and then got testimonies from clients on how long i have been doing their hair for. This was sufficient
Good luck with it all, this is another stressful part to the process

i to lost my indentures and the company i worked for went bust, the citb did not keep records after five years and the tech collage had changed its record system from files to computer files and had no records .but letters off both the citb and the collage confirming i had been in touch and trying to find my indentures was surfice to send in on my application.along with my c&g certificates which mentioned both the collage and the citb.

hope this helps

Don't want to sound to negative, but i didn't pass mine i had to submit alot more evidence then i finally passed, so it was heartbreaking and worrying that we fell at the first hurdle, 'but where there is a will there is a way'. Anyone visa is submitted now, so its just the wait
Good luck you will get there
