Glasgow practicals-Finally got date

Hi Everyone,

I'm new just like to say hello.

Also a query, when you say the Practicals is that the medicals you are talking about or is it some sort of exam?

i'm booked onto the glasgow practical on 31st july,once your oh has sat his test could you let us know what to expect,my brains turning into mush trying to revise everything

Hi Tam1970,
Welcome to PIO, and in answere to your question, the practicals everyone is talking about is a test. It is needed because as of 1st September last year Pathway D was taken away for the skilled visa, and Vetassess took over, so certain trades e.g. joiners, carpenters, plumbers, electricians, etc, etc, have to do a written assessment first to see if they qualify to go onto the practical exam. These happen every three months in the UK, and Vetassess give you a particular date and place they will be holding the test (Glasgow, London and Accrington) where these trades all go and show what they can do, but it has to be what Vetassess say they have to do. Then you wait to see if you have passed, and if you are successful you are given a qualification on paper so you are able to apply for your visa.

Hi,

I put a post on here a short while ago with the full postal address of the college.
If you go onto the search button and type in Name of Glasgow College for practical, under threads the address is there for you.
