Question desperate to go but worried about ex not allowing children to go.

Hello,
Am new to this site.Can anyone give us advice? My partner and I want to apply for visa but I have 2 children from previous marriage. My son is 16 and daughter 12 both born in Oz.Worried my ex will not give us permission to take them. Anyone come up against this issue before.

Hi Lynne and welcome to PIO. I have seen threads about your situation but it has always been about kids born in the UK moving to Oz, though even when a court case has been necessary to get permission, I seem to think the courts first priority was always where the child would have a better/more secure future so Oz seemed to win out.

I think you may need to seek legal advice, but try looking on the search facility of the tool bar (grey bar above) as well for similar issues. Maybe Gollywobbler (a member on here) could advise you, she knows LOADS about legal situations, if not I am sure she will kow a man /woman who can.
