My online app status shows that my meds were received at 15th May 2008 and its been more than a month but the status still says "Health requirements outstanding".
i had front-loaded the meds and i am from a high risk country. So how long does it take the meds status changed from "Health requirements outstanding" to "Health requirements finalized"???
Is it changed with the CO is assigned or it does not have to do anything with the CO??
Any April applicant who had front-loaded the meds????
thanks.

Reason: It is an unpublished phone number and if it gets into general circulation, it will be changed. That would be to the detriment of people with genuinely serious and urgent medical queries.
I have removed the phone number provided by Tracy, although she provided it in the utmost good faith. The reason I have done this is because the number is not available via the DIAC website. If too may people discover it, they will all start phoning it when they have no real need to do so.
The result would simply be that in the short term everybody's meds processing would be held up because of the HOC staff being deluged with unnecessary phone calls and in the longer term, DIAC would simply change the number That would be to the detriment of those applicants who genuinely DO need to be able to speak with them on the phone, which 99% of visa applicants do NOT need to do, however anxious they might be. PLease understand that bandying this phone number around is NOT FAIR on visa applicants following behind oneself.
Rocker, you can e-mail the Health Operations Centre and ask them what is happening about your meds:
Alternatively if you telephone or e-mail the Australian embassy in your country, they should be able to tell you whether or not your meds have cleared. The staff in all the overseas offices have access to the main DIAC database on which the relevant information about every visa application is stored.
It is quite possible that your meds have been finalised but that your status page simply doesn't show it as yet, and currently Agents are reporting a 6-8 week delay in clearing meds calculated from the date when the meds file reaches the HOC, so it is almost certainly too early to worry if your meds have not yet been cleared.
Tracy thanks for the number but before i see it Gill removed it... lolzzz
Gill you dont have to worry about disclosing the phone number thingi... one way or the other people will find out the number. I never doubt your knowledge and the suggestion you provide but I dont agree with your idea of removing the number. I want to but just cant......

I know how to contact them but dont you think Gill first i should use this forum to see if I can get any help from here or find other people with the same issue?? Anyways I was not going to call them at the first place....
Its the 5th week since they have received my meds so I think I'll wait for another 3 to 4 weeks before I start sending emails and doing phone calls.

When things go beyond your control people do anything to survive.. I would do the same... even you would do the same.. Lets pray that things stay in control....
Cheers and Gill; you rock :)

Of course I understand your irritation, and I have disclosed the number privately to people who actually need it.
However, thinking that one "needs" something simply because it will ease one's anxiety with the whole process and actually needing to use un-published numbers for DIAC are two different things.
They DO provide channels of communication that they prefer people to use. If something has really gone wrong, solutions can be arranged. The mods on all of the forums end up having to strike a balance between our visa applicant members and the staff at DIAC, in the hope of creating a reasonably fair situation for both sides.
I've made the judgement call on this occasion. It is not negotiable. Sorry.

Being a moderator of the forum and having 3,941 posts in your bag, i think you are in a better position to make that call..... believe me its the "3,941" thats stops me to raise a question about your judgment... and Gill the post was never to doubt your instincts it was just to express my point of view.
so chill out and keepup the good work.

Personally, if it was me I would send an email.........my sister's meds were sent 2 weeks back, and the on-line status reads that her and her husband's are finalised, but the 2 children are just reading received (but not finalised yet). I think for most people the meds are actioned immediately at the moment, although I realise they quote 6 weeks delay.
An email wouldn't do any damage and would put your mind at rest that they are sitting in the right tray waiting to be done.
Good luck.
