Online Applications/Medicals Evidence

Hi All

Does anyone know what the process is for getting medical evidence to the DIAC for online applications? My understanding is that I can upload the completed forms (160EH & 26EH) for the medical/x-ray and the panel doctor will courier the medical stuff to Sydney.....is that correct?

Any help much appreciated!

Yes, on the documentation checklist, you print off the two medical forms. You fill out Part A before you visit the doctor, the rest of the form is filled out by the Panel doctor at your visit.

After you medicals are completed, the Panel Doctor should send them to Sydney (HOC). We made sure that we paid extra for them to be couriered, that way we could keep track and make sure that they got there. Ours went out by courier on May 30th and were received in Sydney on June 2/08... some guy named Roy signed for them.

Just to give you a quick update, just checked online and our meds were received and finalized in 3 days. So it does pay to have them couriered.

Ok, that's great thanks. So you don't actually have to upload anything to prove you've had the medicals for an online application?

I do plan on getting them couriered to Sydney as I need to get them done in 28 days. I assume once they're received in Sydney they notify the processing centre in Adelaide and it gets acknowledged in your application?

Hi there
Our case officer requested us to scan and e-mail receipts for our meds & radiology reports and this would be sufficient within the 28 days requested timeline. Have done this on Tuesday and just scanned police certificates today so hopefully will here from her in next few days to say they have correct info for this stage of our on-line visa application. Will let you know as soon as we hear anything to say wether this is right or not. Hope this helps!

Hi Tom,

When you go on to check your online status, once the medicals are finalized it will go from medicals outstanding to medicals received (against all the lovey things i.e. chest xray, HIV test ets) and just above those it will show that Medicals are finalized, there is also a message box to the right of it, click on it and it should show that the application is being processed further.
