Question Biological Father???

Hello all any advice??
My daughters biological father is not on her birth Certificate, nor has he been in contact for 9 years, never paid a penny and as far as my daughter is concerned my partner of nine years is her dad, (she does know the truth) so how does that work with the visa and taking her out of the country.

Any ideas Thanks Samx

Hi, i was in the same situation with regards to father not being on birth certificate, no contact etc, all i had to do was write a statutory declaration (can find template on the internet) saying you have full and sole parental responsibilty for your child and there is no one contesting this, and get it signed by a notary member of the public-had visa 12 hours after faxing!

Sam \ Suzy+1,
We are going through this at this very moment. After reading this post earlier last week we also thought, pheww, no problems................................however there is. Sorry. What we are being told is that we need to run a search through the address below

Her Majesty’s Courts Service

Principal Registry of the Family Division
Family Proceedings Dept
Room 2.11
First Avenue House
42-49 High Holborn
London WC1V 6NP

Telephone 020 7947 6980

This cost £40 but will show that the mother has sole parental responsibility.

I have been there today and they seem to think we will have the search results back before the end of this week (they would have done them for us while we were there but they are short staffed at the mo)

So not quite a simple as we thought. Suzy, i can only guess you got lucky ot they are starting to tighten up on this.

Hope this helps, if not, please PM and i will tray and explain further

Andy & Teresa
