hi All, i Am Have Been A Self-employed Builder For Last 10 Years. my Migration Agent Has Advised Me To Do The Vetasses Bricklayer Test In July. I Can Bricklay Quite Well As I Have Built Many Houses Etc. Even Though I'm Not The Fastest! please Could Anyone Tell Me If When I Do The Vetasses Test In July Do They Look For Speed Or Will They Be Happy That The Job Has Been Done Right Or Even Both? i Appreciate Any Advice Anyone Has To Give And Thank You For Your Time.
Apart from being female anyway, nobody in their right mind would trust me to lay bricks! Any wall built by me would have no chance of remaining intact.

That's good. My oh is a brickie also. We were approved to go onto the practical back in early April, but as yet still haven't received a date. Our agent has been told by vetassess that test dates would be assigned on 2/6 and then details will be forwarded to applicants sometime during this week. My understanding is that applicants are allocated places on a first come first served basis, let's hope your ok due to how late yours went in, we just missed out on the test in April. Will you oh being doing the test in Accrington?

I spoke to vetassess at 2am last nite checking wether they had accepted my payment .
i was told that they had and they was extending the payment deadline by a few days.
They are sending out the conformation of dates and times in the next few days.
Iam not guranteed to make the july tests but was told the are trying there best to get everyone on them who pays.
Fingers crossed you get on it!! Our agent is putting together our paper application at the moment, so hopefully doing it in October, would be great to hear from all you that do it in July about what happened on the practical.

I'm not sure yet, i expect we should hear this week sometime.
Our agent did say the test would either be in Accrington or London. I'll certainly let you know. Is your husband ok about it or is he like mine dreading it?
