Is Civil Engineer Technologist now on MODL???

Does anyone know if the occupation Civil Engineer Technologist (ASCO 2128-11) is now on the MODL. I cant see it on the MODL but when you look at the occupation description link below it says it is......
Can anyone shed any light for me???????

I can't shed any light, but I've just checked both lists and I agree that there is a discrepancy between the two.

Does it make a difference for you, though? My understanding is that you are applying for a skilled subclass 176 visa sponsored by Western Australia?

Hi Gill,
We are applying for a 475 Regional Sponsored.
Initially the Technologist wasnt on the MODL but it looks like it might be now???
Obviously i would much prefer the 175 if we could get it?

I quite agree with you. I assumed that you were applying for the 176 visa but obviously this question is of crucial importance to you.

I don't know who you would need to contact within DIAC in order to investigate the discrepancy.

If you look at "Migration Issues", Veronika Hurbis (SOMV) has posted a thread which I have made sticky. Veronika is in London. I'm sure she won't mind if you click on the link to her website, give her a ring and ask her what you can do/who you should ask about the evident discrepancy here.

If you cannot get hold of Veronika today, my suggestion would be to phone the WA Immi section on Sunday night to see whether they know any more or can at least give you a contact phone number or e-mail address so that you can get to the bottom of this.

My guess is that somebody in Canberra is responsible for producing the MODL and for altering the SOL in line with it.

Sorry I can't be of more use myself but I really don't know how to investigate the discrepancy.

Hi Gill,
Ive just spoken to someone at Australia house London and they suspect that the MODL list hasnt been updated fully and that the Civil Engineer Technologist may well be put on there.
I really hope it is so we can apply for a 175!!!!!!!!!!

Civil Engineering Technologist is not listed in the Instrument.

I think the question requires further checking.
