Well hello my fellow Poms and Bloggerroos.

Well good news is I have my visa and am off in 5 weeks to Oz!!! Anyone used any decent shipping firms they can recommend to me?

Hi and first of all congratulations on having your visa... great feeling isn't it!!!

now with regards to shipping companies... we used Allied Pickfords.

Door to door service was excellent... we had a 40ft high top container and even shipped OH motorbike with them and it all ended up safely on Ozzie soil with only one thing converscated at customs.... (my halloween broom stick..lol)

So yes i would recommend them

We used Crown Relocations for our meagre 10 boxes of stuff & everything arrived here safe &sound and ahead of schedule. It was a door to door service and they were very good about contacting us and letting us know what was happening.

Hi - your 5 weeks will pass in a flash for you. We are going up to Heathrow today, and flying out to Perth tommorrow morning to start our new life "Down Under"

We had Allied Pickfords come and pack our 20' crate this week, and we waved it goodbye yesterday. Next time we see it should be in Freemantle in about 8 weeks.

What part of Australia are you heading to?

We are using PSS removals. Really impressed with their quote. Cheapest quote but trust them because we were quoted by an ex packer so he should know how much room our stuff will take up.. Stuff is all going next Thursday so fingers crossed that I have picked well...
