chicken and the egg

Hello everyone,
we're new to the site and could do with a bit of advice.
We started the migration process about a month ago, neither of us is "skilled" but have a lot of work experience.
My husband Nige is a Distribution manager and I'm HR/admin, however, it seems that we can't get a visa without a sponsor/can't get a sponsor without a visa...help!
We have two daughters Emily and Olivia and want to move to Oz to be near family.
I feel like we're in limbo!

Philippa

Hi Phillipa
We are in a similar situation to you, we have been advised for OH to look at a Student visa (to get a degree in Oz) but the costs are quite alot and with having a 15 yr old who will soon be wanting to go to uni and a 13yr old who will hopefully be following them, we cannot see where the money will come from as we will only have the proceeds from the sale of our house. Alot of advice on here is very positive about getting sponsered though. Have you had alot of companies turning you down because you haven't already got a visa?

Keep positive there will be a way forward, we just have to find it. If I come across anything I will let you know.

hiya Phillipa ,you can get a company to sponser and jointly apply for a sponsership visa.I really am no expert and dont know the ins and outs but many many people enter Oz this way.I would speak with a competant agent and then contact as many companys as you can in Oz asking for a job via sponsership, there are also agencies who will help you do this, hope this helps a bit
