All of our Meds/Xrays lost in post!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

HI all

We are a family of 6 (2 x adults & 4 x Kids) we did our meds on 4/4/08 with our blood tests - when we went for our Meds the Dr had our Xrays & Xray reports there ready - they were all posted on 09/04/08 & were signed for in HOC Sydney on 18/04/08.

On 30/04/08 we received an email from HOC Sydney thanking us for our 2 x Xray films received & now could we forward all necessary reports to go with them within 28 days!!!!!!! - all they have is OH & I`s XRay films no radiology forms - no pathology reports - no 6 x medical forms!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Drs put all the paper work within a A4 envelope with our details on the outside & they were placed in a bigger envelope with our 2 xray films & then posted - at some point betweeen London & the desk of the processing officer in Sydney the film & envelope of paperwork have become seperated - wow that was the fastest waste of £555 we`ve had!!!

Today we have had our Xrays redone (£80) & are forewarding photocopies of our meds to Sydney (£70 for a courier)!!

aaaaarrrrrggggghhhh!!!!!!


& I guess now we just well - WAIT!!!!! Ha Ha Ha ohh hum!!

Are the HOC absolutely CERTAIN that they didn't receive everything? The are terrible for stupid clerks who put things in the wrong files and/or send meds to storage instead of for processing.

I reckon they probably did get everything but are too gormless to look for the missing items.

Also, if the doctor used the post instead of a courier the first time then it seems to me that the doctor should pay for the replacement x-rays and for the courier this time.

Hi this also happened to us everything went missing for nearly 2 months we contacted the doctor and he had photo copies also said he would do xrays again if need be but they turned up in the end.All had been signed for someone had put them in the wrong place so fingers crossed all will be ok.Love Nic xx

Hi Guys,

Well we redid our xrays beacause the hospital didnt keep copies of of reports - the panel doc had copies of the other med forms - but the top sheet of one was missing so we had to get the doc to certify a photo on a new one - & now we have arranged for a courier to pick it all up & hopefully safely deliver it to sydney!

Its frustrating - all our original paperwork is probably still together as it was in a labelled envelope & it may in time turn up even if it was seperated in the post between UK & OZ
but it will take time as has no stamp or paid postage on it & in theory should end up @ HOC or be returned to Docs in London. but the email from HOC only gave us 28 days to do the supporting docs or they would finalise our whole families meds on the basis of two xray films.

The silver lining is that it only took between the 18th & 30th April for someone to start processing our meds !!

Well it cant happen twice so it should all sort its self out now!!

How annoying is that? Did they have your file ref number on them as our agent said this is why we should wait to get our meds as alot go missing without this number on?

Hi yes they did as well as the main applicant passport no: we also wrote these at the top of each page of all the reports incase pages got seperated (lol). we had our full acknowledgement & file no: back in Oct 07.

Can somebody confirm for me where the medicals are sent to for an online 175 visa application? I thought it is Adelaide but the Panel Dr says he sends them to Sydney.

The Panel Doctor is right. The Meds for a 175 visa should be sent to the Healthh Operations Centre in Sydney.
