Student visa info needed...

My husband and I are looking to move to Oz asap and have looked into a student visa for my husband as this seems to be the only way in for us!
My main question at the moment is about proving your funds! We only have £9k in our bank at the mo but will be putting our house on the market and will need the equity from the sale to help - does anyone know if we can apply for the student visa with only this amount to show for the moment?

Hi, I would advise you to just call up an agent and ask for some prelim advice before you commit I am sure they will help. Good Luck.

Hi,

I know a family at my sons school who have come over on a Student visa, think you only need to show you can survive for the 2 or 3 years of the visa, but check with an Agent as to the exact figure. We used ASA Migration and did a free online assessment with them and they explained what visa we were eligible to apply for, they were really good - we got in on a PR but fully recommend them - we got here!!

Hiya

I have just applied for my student visa and it doesnt ask anywhere about finances or to prove you can keep yourself and family for the length of your stay.

We have been asked for further info to prove defacto but nothing else.
