Now not many people know this...

Of the thousands that applied in Aug 07 - (and have posted their details on the BE timeline spreadsheet) 24% have now been granted their visas!!!!

Out of the August applicants - 33% were lucky enough to be acknowledged during Jan 08 and from that cohort we have -

43% issued with Visa

25% with CO

31% no visa or CO (me included)

At current rates - which do seem to be up to 3/4 visa a day - 9/10 days might see more or less all the Jan acks either visa or CO at least.

From the FEB 07 Acknowledgements which account for 26% of Aug 08 applicants, I am afraid at the moment you only have 1 visa issued and no CO's allocated yet - unless you have kept quiet and not shared your news on BE timeline?? (Big Les - how lucky are you??!!!) But on the bright side at least visas have now started for Feb acks.

This is what the wait does to you, l might even start number crunching for levels of statistical significance soon, or get my crystal ball back out...

KP - you bucked the trend by getting a CO in Jan - l'm afraid you are outside the range of my mystic prediction - so don't ask!

But in saying that i've now made a list of people that added to the August thread's in the past, and now crossing people off, and BIGLES wasn't even on it, sorry BigLes (forgot all about you, how could I)

To top it all. I have just counted the number of people on the August timeline. Give or take the odd one I missed there are 143! The list just seemed to be getting longer so thought I would count them. The Visas are coming in thick and fast and now the CO's too. However have you noticed that most of the Visa grants are to GO MATILDA clients. What does this mean? (that we went with the wrong bloody agent!)

Ha, ha. No yours will be a yes. Soon I hope too. I think we are starting to sound desperate, but I am getting used to it. OH thinks I am mad, can't see what all the fuss is about!

I'm with go Matilda. lodged my visa on 21st Aug and got my visa yesterday!!!!!

They are whizzing through the Aug apps like a tornado, so Im sure all the other Augs apps with have theirs VERY soon!!!

Fingers crossed for you all!! Especially Tahe49 (who is my sister) Im hoping it comes on Friday which is her birthday!!

Oh how familiar this all sounds

I was going stark raving bonkers all through Oct, worse in Nov (May applicant) and just about lost it until we got our visas on 17th Dec, I hardly slept the last couple of weeks, waiting up as late as poss, just in case the visa was granted, getting up early and checking e mail, just in case.................................

I am sure there are some rants on here somewhere from me, patience really is not one of my virues

Someone compared it to having a baby, just when you think you can't take it any more the baby (visa) is born and you forget all about the pain 5 mins later - at least with a visa application there is no danger of stitches to remind you

Hang on in there they do get to the end of the queue, eventually

Hi Claire,

Yes we are both going to Brisbane with our young families. My brother already lives out there and my mum is coming too!! So watch out Aus!!!!

It was a big decision for all of us but Im so excited. My sister sent her appl in a week after me so Im hoping she will hear any day now. The wait has driven us mad, we're both organised, plan things type of girls and hate being in Limbo.
