When you are granted a visa,how long do you get to activate it?when it's been activated,how long do you get before you haveto be living there before it runs out?i hope this makes sense!

Hi Wendy, You have 1 year from the date of your medicals or police check whichever one you had done first. You can activate your Visa and come back and I think you have 5 years to move to Australia.
We received our visa (skilled 175) on 4th April, it says on the letter that we have until 19th January 09 to validate. Once that's been done we have until 2013 to be in the country.
Our medicals we're 'finalised' on the 19th January 08, so not sure if this is relevant or not!?
