Can anyone help with this one??

I am currently living in Noosa with my daughter moved here nearly 6 months ago, her British Passport has 6 months left on it and her permenant residency visa is stamped in this. She needs to renew her passport from child to adult will the visa automatically get transfered over? Have just downloaded all the forms from the British High Commision website and cant find any information relating to this.. Came across this website and wondered if anyone can help?

Hi, from what i can gather you can send your passport to the high commision in canberra with a cover letter explaining you have a visa stamp, then they will return your old passport which then basically becomes your 'visa ticket' and must be carried with your new passport they would also have sent you, however, do you know any perfesionals in Oz for 2 years as required ?
if you type passports into the search box above you should find some previous posts on it i would have thought. i,m sure there will be other ways to do it

Hi Jackie
Sorry cannot answer your questions but just wanted to say Welcome to PIO.

Once you get your new passport either send the new and old passports into immigration or go in person and they should put a visa in the new passport given them a call - its quite common thing
