New to this site - and what a fab site it is! It's is putting my mind at rest on some issues I have about possibly going....(spiders, snakes, education, etc)
One question I have that I can't find an answer to:
Do you have to be debt free in order to emigrate or can you still make payments from OZ?
Don't have a house to sell, so would be going with not much behind us intially....has anyone else started completely from scratch?

Yes you can pay off dep'ts from hear. But you have to show what you have to emigrate with . I don't know what the pass figure is.

I hadn't thought about going to OZ until I got an OZ company has contacted me saying they are very interested in having me other there (I have a reputation over here with my current job which they love apparantley!) The option is there, although nothing is set is stone just yet...I was just pondering the option and whether it would be possible for me and the family ...how it all works and whether we could go without assets from a house sale...then I found this site! One thing I do know for certain...there's no future in the UK for my kids .....
Hi,a friend of ours went tp Perth with just £7000!2 kids and a partner.He had nothing here.In perth,he has just got a 100% mortgage and doing very well as an electricians mate.
