putting the visa in the passport

Hi Ali

When Mum's visa was granted, I did the same as you and sent the stuff with an ultra polite covering letter.

I was quite miffed when the letter came back along with everything else!

Evidently just putting a post-it sticker on Mum's passport marked, "Return Address Is..." would have sufficed!

I don't want to worry you but this is what we did too, it was written somewhere, they went in a silver special delivery plastic envelope with another self addressed one inside and came back really quick

I would be tempted to ring Australia house and take advice on this, just in case.

they do look good when they come back, even if they are not shiny or sparkly

We lived quite near London, and at the time my huband was working there, so he dropped passports off at Australia House and then we both went back to pick them up. I cannot tell you what a feeling it was. All the hard work, slog, sleepless nights, angst, all for an orange sticker!!! But we love that orange sticker.

It felt a bit more special that we actually collected them from Australia House, a bit more symbollic somehow.

Panic over. They arrived by special delivery at noon today - wow that was quick, i only posted them 2 days ago.

well, I feel diddled now it cost me about £4 for each way, can't actually remember the cost as I too excited to care
