When will we hear something?

Hi all ,we applied on line on the 26/10/07 and we havn`t heard anything since it`s so frustrating the silence.We are having our medical`s done early april and if possible we want to be in Brisbane by xmas.When will we hear something about our application?and are we being to optimistic about our xmas dream?please help someone

Hello, I'm no expert but that seems a long time to me.....5 months! Did you receive an acknowledgement? and have they taken the fee from your card? Is your skill on the 'top' list? I don't know if that makes any difference or not but just wondering.
Good luck anyway, I'm sure someone will have a good idea on the realistic timescales.
I only applied on-line 15th March and got our meds booked for 1st April! I'm sooooooooo optimistic. I just want it all done and dusted so that we can concentrate on the housey stuff!

HI THERE

WE APPLIED IN AUGUST 07 AND HAVE HEARD NOTHING YET SO YOU ARE NOT ALONE AND WE APPLIED USING A SKILL ON THE MODL LIST. WE HAVE STILL NOT RECEIVED AN ACKNOWLEDGEMENT SO AS YOU WELL KNOW THE WAITING IS A RIGHT PAIN IN THE ARSE AND OUR AGENTS JUST KEEP SAYING "SIT TIGHT". SICK OF SITTING TIGHT!
WE HAVE DONE OUR MEDICALS HAD POLICE CHECKS BACK AND THEY HAVE TOOK MONEY FROM US IN DECEMBER

SO WE KNOW HOW FRUSTRATING THINGS CAN GET BUT WHAT WILL BE WILL BE

Hi Jay and Lou, we are using an agent and she say`s the same as your`s,we are front loading our medical`s and we hope this could save us some time when we get a co if we ever get a co that is.

Hi all, I don't want to upset anybody, my husband went to the Expo on Saturday and he was told there running about 6 months behind.
They say it is the biggest migration since 1969 and have not got the staff to cope with the amount of applications. Sorry but thought you would want to no this onfo, Luv Gwen x x x x x
