My OH got in about an hour ago after a 500 mile round trip, he was also disappointed and wondered why he got an invite at all. He is in IT and nothing there for him, handed out one CV, but we will plod on and see if anything happens at Leeds expo next month.

I'm just back from a very long day too! I'm sure it was your OH (along with Mr Cantwait) that I was talking to in the coffee shop accross the road from Austrlia house! I too was a bit dissapointed...I didn't learn anything I didn't already know! Handed out 2 cv's, and I'd already emailed a copy to QLD health, but gave them another one anyway! The Ramsay Healthcare woman wouldn't even take one, and told me to email it out! She seemed as if she didn't want to be there to be honest! The weather was absolute crap, so didn't even enjoy my shopping trip afterwards! The trains & underground were running late & really busy, and my plane home was delayed!! Not a great success then! I'm glad to get home to be honest....never mind, got heaps of free pens! lol!

Oh, tell OH thanks for the 50p for the silly outside toilet! - that's another story - I was so cold standing in that queue for the toilet that I was dancing around trying to keep warm. Some bloke came up to me and told me if I needed the toilet in a hurry there was one in a hotel round the corner! Must of thought I was really bursing with all that dancing about! !

The toilet queue was the highlight of the day......................my OH waited under the canopy next to the coffee shop so he could use the loo!! Until I explained to him that the people in front didnt actually know he was queueing (DURR)...........so then he was fourth in line and now becoming desparate. He was then obsessed with timing how long it took for the door to open, close and clean before opening again............................stupid man! You just had to be there......................................

Sorry to hear you were also disappointed with today, seems quite a lot of people were. I must tell him tomorrow i have spoken with you (hes in bed now, shattered, so he said). He was talking about you when he got home and said you would definitely "be in", im quite surprised then that noone seems to have taken much notice and wanted your cvs.

I'm off to my bed now too! Been a long day! I'll keep you posted about any developments! An agency are supposed to be contacting me in the next few days, so we'll see what they say. The girls on the Queensland Health stand were lovely, and they said to contact them again when I have a moving date. Oh, have a viewer coming back for a second viewing again tomorrow...they really seemed to like in when they were round yesterday, so you never know!

As a floor finisher/carpet layer i was keen to go considering my job is stil on the wanted skills list,,however due to the closure of skillpath d in september last year,myself and my oh felt we were hitting a brick wall with every avenue we tried to go down,so we thought if i go to the expo maybe we would be a bit more enlightened afterwards,,,wrong,,!!!!! i have never met such a dull bunch of know nothings in all my life,considering we drove for the best part of four hours,,spent 65.00 on overnight accomodation,a further 40-50 on food drinks etc,,60 in diesel for the car,,18 on the tube, ,oh,,,and 50 pence for the toilet outside the coffee shopand then another four hour drive back home we would hav been better off staying in ,getting a few bottles of red and staying up all night posting on poms in oz,,,,DO ME A FAVOUR AUSTRALIA HOUSE,,GET SOME DECENT STAFF WHO ARE NOT ONLY INTERESTED ,,BUT KNOW WHAT THEY ARE TALKING ABOUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
