permanent residency

Hi Kate

My understandting is that you have be in oz for 2 years before you can apply for PR, this is of course unless your employer is willing to sponsor you. Mine has said that they will apply to sponsor me for PR after 3 months if i decide i want to stay. Billy and Jeanette Braveheart are going through this process so they will have more expertise than i

good luck

My employers sponsored me after 18 months.

And yeah, there is more form filling. you need police checks again adn you need medicals again.

Our PR visa cost us about $2000, then we have the cost of medicals, police checks and afew Drs/hospital visits that I needed to have as I have epilepsy and they wanted consultant opinions etc!

Our PR took about 6 months but 4 of those was waiting for an appt for a neurologist!
