Anyone else had this wait with TRA?

Hi everyone!

Im sure I'm just being impatient, but just wondered if anyone else has had the same as me:
We sent our TRA off 8 February (via agent), they confirm it was delivered by courier on 14 February. From reading the TRA website, it seems that they aim to ASSESS occupations on MODL within 10 days and others within 20 days. However, my agent tells me that they expect just the acknowledgement within 20 days (which is today).

My question is, does this seem OK? I mean, I know its not been forever, but I'm sure you all know what it feels like when you are waiting every day for something and its just not coming! I did speak to agent last Wednesday and she said there was nothing to worry about and some trades take longer than others, but I keep hearing on here from people who get theirs done and dusted within 3 weeks of sending it off and not I'm getting
WORRIED!

If anyone can just reassure me that this is probably perfectly normal and I've got nothing to worry about, then I would be very grateful!! Either that or tell me to pull myself together and stop sitting waiting for the phone to ring whilst simultaneously staring at my inbox!!

Hi, we just got our ACS approval for the MODL list. We sent ours off 21 November. Hope this helps

I notice tho, that its a different assessing authority than TRA, so I suppose they all have different timescales.

When we did our tra it took 6 weeks between sending off and getting reply back. OH skills are on the MODL. Once you have had the acknowledgement it takes 10 days for them to assess your application. It shouldn't be too long for you now. We failed our first attempt so are trying to gather more refrences and reapply.

I seem to remember from when we went through TRA last year everyone was on about the same timeframe of 28 days.

We are also on MODL and to be honest I think they all get processed in the same amount of time and there is no fast track.

Sorry may have to wait a bit longer.

We got ours today, tried e-mailing you but it keeps coming back undelivered due to spam??? This was yesterday and today, you never know if your agent hasnt been able to get through either.

Anyway if I was you i would call your agent again.

We sent our TRA off 18/02/08 (for decorator) we got our acknowledgement on 27/02/08 and our appliction outcome received today!! And god it felt good. We have done it our selves didnt use an agent. But talking to a friend of ours it took them 4 months for a response!!!!!! I think any thing from 4-8 weeks is reasonable.

for all of u that have sent applications off to TRA and then passed, could someone please send me a detailed job procedure letter, in any trade would be a help i just want to know how indepth i really should be trying to do this, as i said any trade, mixing paint to making cement, please please, i am driving myself mad.

I have not had an answer from the TRA yet but have a copy of my stat dec for my job description, i am self employed as a Chef and my job entails everything from boiling an egg to butchering a cow!!!! if it helps PM me with an email and i will send you a copy, Im going with an agent and he has proof read it and said there was more than enough evidence.

Let me know and ill send it i know its not the same trade but it will give you an idea
