Hi there,

We are on the Sunshine Coast on a student Visa and OH will be completing his studies in November. So we haven't actually got our PR yet, but OH has nearly finished his course! We are a family of four and have been here nearly a year. One child is at the local primary and the other is at the local high school.

Ask away if there is anything that I can help you with (I remember how useful this site was when we were back in England and starting the whole process!).

Heather

Hi, actually there is something - could you tell me how long it took you to receive the student visa? I heard that it is a lot quicker than applying on a skilled visa.

Well done for getting there anyway - was it all worth it?
We have just decided to visit the area (Maroochydore) in August this year and then apply for the course and visa when we get back to hopefully start the course in July 09.....fingers crossed!!

OMG!! I'm so glad I found this thread!

I'm 38 and I'm applying for a course at RMIT in melbourne...at least I want to. BUT!!!......

On the uni application form, they are asking for certified academic transcripts. What are these and how the flip do I go about getting them?? Also they want certified copies of graduation certificates. Which ones??? My degree???? And who certifies them and how???

I've emailed the uni for clarification, but heard nothing yet.

ANY help HUGELY appreciated.

Jo
