Boots

I knoe this sounds trivial, but planning to go to Sydney and have started clearing out clothes etc.... Sun is out and im bored! But do you need as much of winter clothes? I have lots of boots, coats jumpers and hats etc.., how cold does it get?

Thinking of having a car boot sale or friends around when the time comes to sell.

Sydney, not likely to need boots and by the time you get here they will be out of fashion anyway! It doesnt get really cold there in the scheme of things but keep the odd cardi, jumper and overcoat just in case.

Sydney clothes

Hi
What part of Sydney you coming to? I've been here almost 18 months now so going through my second summer here and had my first winter. According to the locals it was the coldest winter in several years but by English standards it was very mild - it did get a bit chilly a few days but I didn't need anything heavier than a fleece jacket and sometimes a scarf when I took the dog out walkies! You won't need any heavy coats, gloves, scarves or hats for Sydney! It does get a bit chilly in the evenings though in winter so you a cosy dressing gown is good as there is no central heating!!!! We wear boots here more for a fashion statement than warmth. I have found it's a whole new way of dressing here and I'm still throwing out stuff I have brought with and never worn - it's far more casual and even when you go out dress code is very laid back - anything from jeans to a fancy dress and everything in between!
Hope this helps, if I can help in any other way, let me know
Karen
