How much did YOUR agent cost....(Please)

Hi there,

we are going to apply for a visa with the help of an agent. I just wondered how much these guys actually cost, As I have read different reports, one said around £500 another said £2000.

I would just like to know what you guys have been charged so we can realisticly budget for this. Also who did you use and do you recommend them?

Thanks for your help everyone xxxx

Hi Adele,

We have entrusted Grist International with our migration matters since Jan 07 and they have been absolutely superb. We were thinking of going it alone at one point but don't regret paying for Jo and her team to deal with our whole process. She has been a mine of information and her rates are extremely competitive (£1000). I can say without hesitation that she has taken the stress out of the process and we are getting closer to achieving our dream of 'a new life down under'.

We were given plenty of advice on choosing the most appropriate visa and she emailed all the necessary forms for our completion. All forms were then proof checked by her before hard copies were sent out to Oz. All her help and advice and good communication helps towards a worry free process. Hopefully once a case officer is allocated, the last parts of the puzzle will fall in place!

Good luck. Steve & Kitty.

We can't remember exact figures, but just under £3,000 total is what we paid, this included tra, meds, visa app, police checks, the lot.

When we started the process (last Feb) we thought we could do it ourselves. We done the TRA on our own (£120), but the visa process was looking a bit daunting so i called Visa-Go Emigration (based in Edinburgh). I asked how much their services would be and they said roughly £1600. I then told them that we had already done the TRA ourselves and the price came down to £680! That was what we paid for our agents fee and they were absolutley fantastic. We had our visas within 6 months (136 modl) Just been reading the TESCO magazine called Escape to Australia & New Zealand 2008 and our agent is mentioned 3 times before page 37 so they are pretty damn good. I could not fault them in any way whatsoever.

Hi.

We started the process January 07.

We are with Thames Consular and it cost approx £1900 for their services. Medicals and immigration costs on top of that so in total approx £3400.

Thames Consular have been fantastic throughout the process.

Good luck.

We paid concept australia £1495.00 and paid in 3 instalments. on top of that had to pay for the TRA fee $300, visa fee just over $1000.00, police check £10 x 3, meds x rays and blood test (inc hiv and hep B C) bout £800 x 3 adults 1 child. Stat dec's and cert copys bout £50(but there was a lot of these).

So a lot of money but a small price to pay to get out of this S**t hole of a place.

Marge x

ps make sur who ever you use is MARA reg x

I used ASA consultants at a cost of aprox $7400 au plus the extra costs of meds, police checks, document certification and courier fees, the price did include all diac/tra fees.
It took 9 months from start to finish and that's for tra and main application 136 skilled independent (now replaced with 175, i think)

Now that i've got that lovely bit of paper in my passport it feels like money well spent :)

Good luck!
