hi everyone can anyone help me out there i have phoned adelaide every night for last 10 days but always busy is there a email address. every time i ring them the messagess he says to contact them always seems to fade away and i struggle to hear them hope you can help me thanks tony l

Hi Tony. I have had exactly the same. I have been trying continually for 18 days all different times of the day (when open that is) still not able to speak to anyone. When I email a query I am given a bog standard 'look at the webiste for details' but my question is not on the webite. I've pain the first installment of $2000 for nothing so far. Maybe it might get better once a case worker has been allocated. Sorry can't help! Karen

I have never neededto try to ring the ASPC but I have heard that it can be a nightmare.

Tony, I would be inclined to send an e-mail to london.cc@dfat.gov.au and open it with the following sentence, in bold and in capitals:

THE ANSWER TO MY QUESTION IS NOT REVEALED BY YOUR WEBSITE. PLEASE RE-DIRECT THIS E-MAIL TO THE MANAGER OF THE ASPC.

Having got their attention, explain the problem and spell out that they have been sending you bog-standard replies from the communications unit which simply fail to address your specific question, let alone answer it.

london.cc is the London contact centre without bothering with that terrible on-line form.

If that doesn't produce a result within a week, come back to me in a PM or e-mail and I will give you a name and direct details for a senior human in London who may be able to help to clear the communications brick wall for you.

Hi just a little tip that woks for me
when the bloke on the phone starts talking press 2 then when he starts again press 0 3 times to stop him you will go straight to the ringing tone if you dont get through straight try it again i can get in the que around the second or third attempt
instead of listening to him babble on for ages.

when you have put the numbers in and it ring then goes quite you can just hear a voice hang up he is telling you its busy and to ring back
then when you get put in a que it is silent and i nearly put the phone down thinking they had forgotten but there is no music so be warned but they do repeat a message and then it goes quite dont hang up then you are in the que.
as i said when you ring press 2 as soon as you hear him then when he tries to speak again keep pressing the 0 till he goes and it rings.

To all that are reading this . DO NOT PISS ASPC OFF or you will go to the bottom of the pile, just like that! ASPC will take up to 2 teeks to return any email. Just sit back and wait for a case officer if you can. Your case officer you should get about 3 months from when you put your forms in. That is when they get your forms.
