Hi girls,
I adore candles, and unfortunately you can not ship them due to there will just melt! I was gutted too, but at least i have all my candle holders so all i have to do is replace candles (mind some took ages to find as one of them was a huge white square candle.
As the containers get very hot going over the equator...
I used all mine up along with wines from the rack, over several nights lol

I dont imagine price will change (but we will have to keep the air con on high so they dont melt)

Hi Tina
I shipped some lovely Christmas candles I had bought last year. They are round snow balls & cones and I paid about 60 quid for them (never burnt them!).
The the mo they have cleared customs (or at least they havent been found!). Our container gets delivered on Tuesday so I'll let you know what state they're in.
Btw, they were packed in their boxes that they came in and I hid them inside a cool box hoping, firstly, that they wouldnt be found by customs and secondly that the cool box may give a little protection from the heat.

I brought a very large church candle from my wedding day, I just wrapped it in a blanket. I did however bring some tea light candles that somehow were put in with the kitchen stuff by the packers and they melted, my wedding candle thankfully was in tact.

We too brought candles they were in a draw - not problems at customs, we also brought batteries (as we had hundreds of the things)(which the removal men said was normally a no no) but we took the chance and they got through ok

I had a shoe box of candles in my container as well. No-one had told us not to bring them and they weren't melted.
