quit the employer sponser

Good'y, If someone has been already sponsored in 856 visa class under employer nomination scheme, what will happen if he/she quits the sponsoring employer and joins another after getting the PR visa?

Are there any legal action from the immigration office?

Thanks for the kind info.

ive been told by my employer that its up to me but out of courtesy for them getting me here i will remain with them till ive done my time so to speak, technically they can claim back percentages of the fees they have incurred but im led to believe legally you are able to work for who u want after u get the 856 ,im only saying what ive been told as im going for my 856 just now

Thanks Billy

It seems if I want I can quit the employer who has sponsored me....I think even in the contract nowhere it says either you must stay with us for this many years or you have to pay the prorata of the migration fee....

Sometimes I find some people treat you like you cannot quit the job eventhough you are not fairly treated.

Thanks,

Hi Iam

Are you having a problem with a sponsoring employer? If you are, there may be ways of resolving that situation without necessarily having the quit the job.

Best wishes

Gill

Hi Gill, Thats true. However, you feel very uncomfort when you see those people, who think you are different. Without going to any legal/paper procedure, what do you suggest ?

Unless it is written into your contract then as far as I am aware legally you are not bound to them. Morally however is a different story. I think if DIAC thought you had used the sponsoring employer just to gain sponsorship for PR then they may not look too favourably on you.
