Medicals - Ladies only

Sorry guys this one is for the ladies only.

Have booked our medicals for 14 Feb (happy valentimes )

Have been reading through the forms and it says that I need to take my smear test results. My last one was in 1999 (I know ...naughty girl!!) so I have the results of that, but went today and was told the results could take up to 6 weeks.

Will they accept my 1999 results or do you think they will want my results from yesterday. Just don't want to delay things.

What would you do?

Angelcake

Where are you doing your meds? We went to Northampton and I didn't have to take my results with me (good job too because I had been naughty and not kept mine up-to-date!).

Hi Angelcake,

I had my medicals done in Notts in May 2007 and wasn't asked about my smear. Don't want to hijack your thread but because there are are so many naughty ladies out there who have not made the time to sort one out in the Uk, please can any of the ladies pass advice on for the process in Oz. Also what about mammograms (don't think the spellings right on that one)?

Thanks monty

They call them pap smears here and i think you just book yourself into a doctor, i would of thought the same goes for a mamogram, theres pamphlets in the doctors surgery about all these, although i think you have to be 50yr for the mamogram.

Hi Monty,

I know that when some of the members on here went to the docs for the first time the doc organised a smear there and then regardless of when the last one was done. I had mine done before we came (been told off too many times by the nurse) and it wasn't mentioned at all when I went to register with the doctors here.
