July Applications

Is there anyone else out there who sent in a paper application in/before July and are still waiting for a case officer? We applied for a skilled 136 visa which was received in Adelaide on 30 July 07. We got acknowledgement on 5th December and are still waiting for a case officer. We sent our Medicals in August and our Police Clearances in December. We phoned in the early hours today and were told that they are only allocating CO for January 07. Surely this can't be right!?!

Hi,

We started the application (with agent) in January 07 for a 136 visa.

A case officer was assigned to us on 30 October. Police checks and medicals all done and were sent to Oz in December.

Phone call from our agent last Monday saying immigration are finalising visa at present, we just had to send certified copy of one of our sons new passport which arrived in Adelaide today, so hopefully shouldn't be too long before we hear.

We sent off our application 136 July 15th and we received our CO 10th or so of December. We hadn't front loaded our medicals and police checks so thats what they were requesting. May be you might just hear when you receive your visa. Fingers crossed kay

If its any help - we sent 136 modl skilled independent visa(gas fitter) june - lodged 15 june 07
got full ack - 12 sept

Co - 20 nov but not heard anything since!!!! o well, no news - gud news!!

Thanks guys. Hopefully we might get our visa before our medicals expire!
There just seems to be no order to the processing. Good luck on getting your visas soon!

we are pretty much the same as you guys, application recieved in oz, august the 8th, full acknowledgment 03 jan 08, expecting a long wait for a c.o.

Hi Donna

We sent our paper application in via an agency though in July for same a 136 visa' and we only got acknowlegement & payment taken in October, then in November requested police checks & medicals. Which were sent straight away and processed in december then received visa monday morning. So not sure what the delay is, just will keep our fingers crossed for you all as they can just get on with everything in a couple of weeks then hey presto your visa's will be with you.

I can hardly believe it - i picked up my email tonight and there was an email saying that as of the 23rd Jan we have been granted our 136 visa. Don't know what the woman on the phone in Adelaide was going on about - but i don't care now.
