Hi, I am doing the same at the mo too! Where are you heading. Have you tried to call the Australian house in London, my other half has and they have been very helpful. They told us that the form 888 is not really required if not in Oz already and we can just get a letter from a friend etc. With regards to your child, they will inherit Oz citizenship from there mother and as your visa would have already gone in you should not need to give details of them, although if you have a case officer by the time baby is born i suppose it wouldn't hurt to drop them a line letting them know. You could also mention the forthcoming birth of your child in your statements about each other. (I think i am right so if anyone knows different please let me know!
) Once they are born you would simply need to apply for Oz citizenship for them and then using that form send for a Oz passport for them. This is what we have done with our two children! Hope this helps.
