Advice Please on Migration to S.A.

I would be grateful for your advice..where do I start!

We are Kerry 27 (solicitor), Paul 35 (gardender) and Daniel 10 wanting to emigrate to oz.

We had our permenant skilled visa application rejected last year since although my occupation is on the list and we had enough points I could not get a poistive skills assessment until I was admitted as a solicitor in Oz (not England!), this involves 1 semester of study and an exam via correspondence and I am awaiting to hear re the practical training side.

Anyway after we were unsuccessful we contacted a migration agent who advised that we could apply for a temporary 3 year regional visa to Southern Australia as I have a law degree and have worked as a solicitor for 3 years.

We did want to emigrate to Perth as we visited last year, know some people from the uk who have emigrated there and just felt it had everything we wanted (we have never been anywhere else in oz).

However as we really want to emigrate we think we might opt for the temporary visa to S.A (probably Adelaide) and after 2 years and 1 years full time employment we can apply for a permenant visa and move anywhere in oz if we didn't settle in S.A.

Therefore we know little about S.A. having done all our previous research on W.A. and would be gateful for advice as follows:

1. Recommended areas
2. Is there likely to be work available for me & hubby? (I am happy to do almost anything as I know I won't get employment as a solicitor until I have undertaen the required exam etc.)
3. Is it fairly easy to get a rental and what is the likely cost?
4. Are rentals usually furnished or would it be better to ship our stuff?

Any other advice/your experiences would be appreciated.

As far as renting goes, check out Real Estate, Property, Land and Homes for Sale, lease and rent - realestate.com.au It's a great site and you can look at all areas in all states. Jobwise its best to check out SEEK - Australia's no. 1 jobs, employment, career and recruitment site
I've seen gardening jobs on there in South Oz, it's where we're headed, not sure if they pay much, but it's definitely worth a look. There are categories for all occupations so you could look for something yourself as well,
