Worrying email from agent

Hi all,

Haven't posted for a while as have been trying to put everything OZ out of our minds over Xmas following a worrying email from our agent. We are applying for a 475 SIR which our agent expected us to be granted around Nov/Dec. Here it is:

I needed to contact you today anyway, as my last enquiry about your
application prompted a request from your case officer which we found
inexplicable.

Alan had an email asking for 10 years worth of duty statements for your
employment, which is just ridiculous. They legally only need to be satisfied
that your last 3 years work is at a skilled level, so Alan has emailed the
section manager in detail and is waiting for a reply.

I am astounded that they are dragging this case out so long. It is almost as
if they keep trying to think of reasons to delay your grant. Alan has
complained about the processing.


We're getting really worried about this, and would be really grateful for any advice.

I think i'd be worried too if your agent is saying what they are asking for is inexplicable. However, your agent sounds to be on the ball and hasn't just accepted this lying down and seems to have acted very promptly. is there any way you can get the info they require together (even if it isn't warrented) and say here you are that's what you asked for (though I'd be pretty hard pressed to supply that info for myself).

Can't offer you an answer.. but as the others have said i am sure your agent will handle this well for you...after all it's in their best interests to do so....as well as yours....

We did not use Go Matilda as did not know about them until we joined this site.. Don't get me wrong we have been very pleased with our agent!!!

But what a reassuring guy !!!

I do have faith in GM but not much in DIAC. It just seems so strange that they would ask for something that isn't needed. The waiting isn't helping the paranoia
