When is second payment taken?

To all of you who have been fortunate to receive the good news of your visas being granted - when in the process were you asked for the second/final installment?

Second payment?

I read it as you only pay second instalment if you have someone over 18 going with you?

It may be different for your visa though? I want a 175

We've applied for 137 (which is now 176) and reading back on immi site - what you say is true. DH is adament that there is a second installment, but looking through other posts about costs, it does look like we'll be saving £1000+ than we'd intended.

I can't believe that we didn't read the money part correctly, having spent so long on filling in all the forms and getting everything else right!
