Hi
That's great news! How do you find out whether the medicals are finalised? When did you send yours in?

Thanks.

Wendy

Hi Wendy

We can check our status as we applied online in Sept and on our 1st page it told us everyone apart from our youngest had finalised, we sent them on 12th Nov but they were stuck in customs so they didn't get to LCU in Sydney till 30th November so 19 days isn't bad at all. Its just nice to know they are not at the bottom of a dusty pile.

Good luck for yours hope you have news soon.

Big woo hoo all our meds have now finalised!

Didn't think it would be that quick thought they may have wanted more info on our little one heart murmur.

Hi

Is there anywhere where you can check how far they are with medical clearances
Our arrived on 10th December but was just wondering how far they have got to.
Our Police checks came back today (31 days)

Hi Caz

I dont think there is, well I never found one. We knew because our status page changed (we applied online). I did email the LCU in sydney twice the 1st time they replyed really quickly but they have yet to reply to the 2nd email but i don't need them to now.

There e mail is lcu@immi.gov.au

Good luck

Hi Caz

The LCU are taking 4-6 weeks to process paper meds at the moment. What happens is that when they receive the meds, they date stamp them so that they know when they were received.

They are then processed in order of receipt. Nothing appears on the database till the Meds have ether been OK'd or have been referred to the MOC for an opinion.

If you e-mail the LCU before anything appears on the database, your e-mail will be ignored. It is as simple as that.

What with Crimble & New Year coming up, I wouldn't realistically expect the database to show anything about your meds before about the end of January and maybe not till early to mid Feb. It would be worth trying the LCU with an e-mail at around the end of Jan I would suggest.

The AHC in London are also able to answer e-mails and/or phone calls in which they can tell you what the database says, but that is all they can do. They cannot get involved with the processing of the application in any way, however. The AHC contact details are here:

Visas and migration - Australian High Commission

Cheers

Gill
