Hi Tom
Whenever I get myself into a tizz about a document I cannot instantly put my hand on (it happens friequently) I sometimes start to panic. If I start gettig anxious about it, I can run through the same bundle of papers 50 times but in my mind's eye, I am not looking at a "picture" of the missing document. I am thinking of other things. Therefore I can overlook the "missing" document over and over again. As soon as I stop fussing - bingo - there it is!
I suggest walk away for a couple of hours, have a beer, a meal and then go for a walk to clear your head. You'll probably find it quite easily then. Alternatively, ask your wife to look for it because two heads are better than one in this situation.
Did you put it in an envelope for safe keeping, perhaps? If your "picture" is of the document, but you have out it in an envelope, you won't see it because of the wrapping and you won't necessarily think to look in the wrapping. I threw my passport and birth cert out by having placed them in a brown envelope for"safe-keeping." Having a clear out, I binned the envelope, not even thinking about the possible contents at th time.
If all else fails, phone or e-mail theTRA, I suggest.
Good luck
Gill
