Receipt received for August Visa Applicant

Hi

I have not been on for a week. We have had an absolute nightmare sorting out our Broadband, thanks to the dreadful services of both Tiscali and B.T. However, as of tonight we now have Broadband and I am back on PIO.

Our Visa was lodged 29 August and today we received an email from agent with attachment confirming receipt of application. Money taken too.

So all those who have been waiting your time is coming, and if you already have it, sorry I am a little behind! I assumed that the file reference number came with receipt but we have to wait for acknowledgment to get that and that could be another 12 weeks!

Oh well, at least money has now been taken. Now onto the next step.

Anyone else got receipt yet that did August applications?

We're an August 21st Application with money taken out on 21st November and then accidentally on the 28th of November refunded second amount on the 30th of November and finally a delayed receipt for a payment yesterday. I think it must be a little chaotic at the ASPC!!!

How funny. I was just reading a reply you left on a thread of mine last Saturday about the email ASPC had sent you regarding the delays. Makes me feel much better knowing that they are thinking of us August applicants as I think we have been ever so patient. Have you done your medicals yet? Are you through an agent or independent?

We're through an agent and would plan to do medicals as soon as file reference came through UNTIL we found outselves caught up in the $100,000 investment bonus point issue. We need those 5 points to go permanent so we have to wait and see what DIAC plan to do. Most agents seem relatively confident that they will sort something out but if they don't - any of us in this position - and apparently there are 100's or maybe thousands - will be out of pocket for all expenses including the application fee. Nothing's ever easy is it??? Our brother/sister in law's application supposedly was receipted today but they haven't had the money taken. (Maybe our second accidental payment was for them???)
I think we're being patient as well. Have you done your medicals yet?

Our visa app was received on Aug 17 and they took the money this Monday and we received acknowlegement Tuesday.

Ive already applied for police checks and thinking about making the appt for medicals for the end of Jan.

hello. our application arrived 13 august and we got receipted on the 21 st november.

now its the wait till full acknowledgement and file number.

I am impressed that you got your ack. so quick. We have been told it could be another 12 weeks. What visa are you going in on?

I so hoped that we would have our file reference number so we could get our medicals booked. We have done our Police Checks and agent is hold onto them till we get ref. no.

we got ours in on 28/8 and have not heard anything yet. We are getting ours PCs done now as they will take a while to come through, but does anyone know, do you have to have your file ref number before sending the meds over??

I think alot of people frontload their medicals without file reference numbers. We have been told to wait by our Agent until we have ref. no. but I am itching to get them done and out the way. On the receipt from ASPC it said it could be 12 wks before acknowledgment which is when we will get our file ref. no. That is another agonising wait. We have already done our PCs, just as well as they messed up OH's and they told us it would only be a couple of days to get corrected one but it took them another 40. What lousy service. I even told them they were urgent but they did not give a toss!
