5 points for investment

Has anyone that is affected by this being withdrawn got a CO, if so what are they advising you to do, i am getting a bit desperate about our situation. If you do decide to lodge new application how do you tell DIAC, do you have to pay again as this would be very unfair, any advise would be appreciated.

We're in the same boat as you but have been advised to hold off doing anything by our agent. She believes that DIAC needs to come up with a solution to the problem. They have issued no formal statement on the matter yet and we all submitted applications under those guidelines in good faith. Allan Collett has also mentioned a he feels a solution might be offered. There are hundreds probably who are affected and many much further down the road than you or I. Therefore, their situations will be the test cases and from what I've heard their are loads of immigration lawyers/agents as well as applicants fighting the cause. I've gone from absolute despair to a hopeful feeling that this may be resolved favourably. Try not to worry...

As an update, our agent has emailed me the letter sent by the MIA to the minister of immigration explaining the desperate plight of those of us affected and asking for a swift resolution of the matter. PM me if you want a copy of the letter.
