175 Skilled Independent VISA

Hi, has anyone else applied through a 175 Skilled Independent VISA?
We applied through my husband, he is an Engineer.
TRA was succesful.
Visa aplication was sent off and on the 11/10/07 acknowledgment and receipt of Visa.
Just waiting for a case officer now.
What are others timeline on this visa?

Hiya, We are going on the same VISA as yourselves. Our application was sent via electronic mail on the 16/11, but heard today that they are having trouble printing them of in Oz !!! Hope they sort the problem out soon.

Just organising the Medicals now as we have to give them a date for our medicals before the 17/12/07, doesnt matter if the med are after this date they just want to know what date they are booked for.

Hi,We to are going on the same visa as you.Also sent our visa the same day as you via our agent in london.We have,nt heard any thing just wondered why you going for meds so soon!We were told to wait till they get in touch. regards and good luck!shell.

We we're also told to wait until instructed to do our medicals. From what I have heard doing your Visa online is quicker and done diffrently.
I've been looking in to where to get our medicals done.
One place I called in Winchester was fully booked until after the new year.
Was quite shocked at how the cost vary on the medicals from one place to another.
Thats spooky that you applied the same time

We sent our visa on line and have our reference number, Adelaide sent an email to say that 'you are requested to start the medical requirements by 17/12/07, if there is going to be a delay in starting these, please let us know'.

We hope to be going before Christmas as Harley Street can even get us in tomorrow but awaiting some invoices to be paid first before I can book this lump sum on top of Xmas LOL

we put our application in on the 8th nov and haven't heared anything yet, but as we're behind you then I don't suppose we would have ! Perhaps the med request has something to do with being on the MODL or not ?

Hi there!!!

Our visa application was submitted on the 24th Oct and our agent told us to book our meds and pc's asap!! Last wednesday we received our TRN number (14th Nov). We applied for our pc's the day our visa's were submitted (takes upto 40 days) plus booked our meds at same time because once you have a CO you have only 28 days to submit this (possible extension available) but this is wise as soon as you get TRN. Had xrays this wednesday plus meds nxt wednesday, no sign of CO yet but when we do all will be in place!!!! Thanx to advice from agent!!!
