Skills Assessment

Hi,

We are just starting our application and are using an agent. Just wondered if anyone can give me any info about doing a skills assessment and what it involves. My fiance is a Plumber / Gas fitter and we are applying for a Skilled Independant (175) visa.

Any info would be great.

Thanks
Maz

Hello Maz.

Hasn't your migration agent explained this to you?

Best regards.

Hiya when we did ours our agent told us to go into as much detail as poss,,what trade are you having assessed?? hubby is a mechanic so it was a case of going year by year listing all the tools he learnt to use, wage rises in relation to learning new skills, any courses attended, etc,,write it like your telling a 10yr old and if it sounds boring and repetative its probably ok!! Alan is right thou ,why hasnt your agent given you any infomation on what to write ,,get on their case your paying them,

Hi Alan

We have just posted our initial application forms etc today (to yourselves) so haven't quite got that far yet. It was just a preliminary enquiry at the moment as we had seen the assessments being discussed on the Forum and someone has mentioned there are assessments being done in December for plumbers and it just got us curious as to what it involves.

Thanks
Maz

OK - thanks Maz.

If you aren't sure about the process at the moment you should be fairly soon!

Best regards.
