Meds Done But No Visa Yet!

Our meds were finalised on 26th October (2 wks ago) but we haven't heard anything since. I thought once the meds were done the visa would follow almost straight away. I emailed our agent but she replied with a very terse email telling me to 'be patient' . Our application was done online so I don't know if it is done in a different order. Any help would be gratefully received.

I know it's easier said than done, but try not too stress too much. We have been waiting since 03/05/07 for our MODL136 visa, and quite alot of people with the same timescale as us seem to be getting theirs now. We front loaded our PC's and medicals to try and speed things up (hahaha!!!), but still nothing. I e-mailed my agent to ask whats going on and they have said that the case officers are under immense pressure at the moment as due to all the changes etc their workload is really high. They don't want to hassle the case officer and upset her, so we have to remain patient. I would rather wait a little bit longer than upset her and then they say NO!!

Good luck with it all, hopefully it won't be too much longer. Everything comes to those who wait, and wait, and wait....................................

Our meds have been finalised too and we presumed that like it has been with some others that the visa would follow the next day but i guess it depends on your CO.

I would not worry yet. You have done really well for things to go though as quick as they have.

Take a look at our timeline and you will see how long we have been waiting, since meds. Think the c/o's now have a backlog of applications unfortunatley, our agent said anyday now last thursday and we are still waiting, my advice is "try to forget about it". The past few weeks have been really hard for us, me and OH were snapping at eachother and our little gal til I said Enough is enough, we need to get on with life until we get an answer insead of wishing the days away.Good luck with it all,hopefully you will here somit soon.

Like your self we got intouch with our agent, and we had a very uncomfortable reply... Our meds got to Syd on 10th Oct and we still haven't heard anything, and i agree with Els- Bells you have to stop wishing your time away... 19 years i have been with my o/h and we have gone through hard deaths in the family, moving houses,childbirth and getting married, but i have never lived in so much tension!!

Last year the granting of our visa took almost 4 weeks after the last documentation was received by our CO
