Hi Ron ^ Chel
I completely agree with Debbie Brooks. Dr Goodall was fantastic with my then 85 year old, disabled Mum's meds.
Hes twinkly and exceptionally kind, plus he is an Aussie. Apparently he was born and brought up in Tasmania but did his medical training in Perth. He is hugely interested in where people plan to live and so forth and is very knowledgeable about Oz. He takes all the scares out of the meds because one gets so busy chatting with him that one doesn't really notice him doing anything much, so do NOT worry.
I thought he might scowl when he saw Mum in her wheelchair and I had her Zimmer frame at the ready. On the contrary, when he had to get Mum to take a small step uo onto the scales, he seized her round the waist and said, "Come on, Batbara, I'll help you." I could see that he was watching Mum like a hawk, ready to catch her if her legs buckled, which reassured me.
At the end, I asked him, "I know that the meds decision does not rest with you, but whaddya think, please?" He smiled and said quietly, "Your mother is disabled because she broke her back. Apart from that, she is in good shape. I think it will be OK."
He turned out to be right.
I cannot praise Dr Goodall too highly. Enjoy your time with him.
Cheers
Gill
