Hi

Hope you can help me, I'm a little bit confused but to be honest that doesn't take much!!!!!

I have read on other threads that some people who had their medicals received at LCU on 12th Sept have had them approved and now received their Visa, and on other threads it states that the LCU are currently looking at Meds from 6th August.....does it depend on the type of Visa???? We are on a skilled Visa as my hubby is a joiner and I don't know when we should expect our meds to be completed.

I find this site amazing and feel I am quite addicted. It is so good to know that everyone is going through the same or has been there!!!!

I will try to explain cos we just got our visa. Our meds were received on the 17 Sept which is about where LCU are processing PR visa meds. Temp visa meds are a bit further on than that. They do seem to take some priority visas meds earlier than others - I think sponsored ones and that. Some of the threads will say meds proceessed Aug as once the meds are processed they then go to your CO who checks the results and finalises the rest og the visa. If they have a large work load it may take longer from meds complete to visa grant or longer if they dont have all your paperwork when they receive your meds and have to ask for more. I hope this makes sense. The easier you can make things for your CO the quicker you may get your visa once your meds are finished at LCU.

Yea...this is a bit wierd as there quite a few of us on here who applied what feels like yonks ago under the old TRA pathway. It seems that if you applied via the old sub class 136 and physically sent them hard copy wise, then its taking an eternity.

If you applied online it seems that the process is in turbo compared to the old way.

I personally did the old TRA way and lodged my application of the 17th August. I've heard theres over 30,000 applicants for August and the money has just been taken off people who applied at the very beginning...ie... the 1st couple of days of August.

Theres different opinions as to when to do your meds and PCC's...I'm definately going to validate before this time next year so I've just completed mine as the 12 month ruling shouldn't come into play. My agent has recommened that I send her the receipts so that she can inform them that they've already gone.
