Will this Qatari saga ever end?????

I'm typing in blue cos i am blue.... i am so fed up ....

Our qatari police certificates of good conduct are still holding us up....
Feb this yr we got finger prints done, got them notorised then attested by the HOffice.. then sent them to the qatari embassy in london who in turn sent them to Qatar.... along with letters to the ambassador, money, passport photocopies etc

6 months later they tell us the finger prints don't match.... THERE IS NOTHING TO MATCH we were there on a working visa!!!!!! we were not residents we never had finger prints done whilst we were there working... we don't want a PC we want a certificate of good conduct to say we were good ... that's all nothing else...

Our case officers manager got involved... they involved the oz embassy in Dubai... another month or so later we have been told to get new prints done..... i am so fed up.... if this continues on the same time scale as last time our UK PC's will have run out and so will our meds....

i can honestly say we will never get our visa at this rate.....

today we are off to the local police station to get the finger prints done again.... we shall be sending copies, letters etc to our case officer to state we are doing all we can to get these bl**dy finger prints done .... and if the Qatari's turn round and say excatly the same i shall scream and start ww3

Oh Min! Your frustrations put my own measly moaning into perspective, we may have a long wait, but at least our visa should be straightforward.

You would think that as you have proved how hard you have tried to get these, that not so Nice Mr Immigration Man would be more flexible.

Keep going lovey, you will get there in the end I'm sure.

I hope you have some good news soon. Hopefully once youve done these checks and sent everything off to co they will grant you your well deserved visa regardless. Fingers crossed 4 u.

Argh Min what a pain in the arse for you hun.

Would it be quicker if you made the journey to Qatar youreslf, just a thought would it get pushed through any quicker.

maybe they need another set so they can match them to your original set?

sounds like burocratic nonsense of the highest order

they need to tick a box that says finger prints match - they only have one set so the only answer is ..... they do not match

Thanks for your good wishes guys.....

We turned up at our local bobby shop at lunch time and we were lead into the holding cells....GULP!
Palms sweating we were both finger, thumb and palm printed to the highest degree by a very accomodating policeman... all i can say i am glad i wasn't in there for a proper problem... not a nice place... too many iron bars for my liking!!!

Anyway we see the notary solicitor this week to stamp them then on to the home office to be attested...

if they don't accept these then i shall personaly go and stick something up someone where the sun don't shine!!!!!
