WishList
Hello, there i am in a bit confusion here regarding my 457 visa, please help. An AU business is ready to offer me job for 225113 Marketing Specialist QualificationI have Bachelors Degree (3 years) [*]Experience Total 5+ years of experience in same field 18 months of pre-qualification experience in Sales & Marketing 45 months (a little short of 4 years) experience in same field Now the ANZSCO job code description says "Most occupations in this unit group have a level of skill commensurate with a bachelor degree or higher qualification. At least five years of relevant experience may substitute for the formal qualification." I was told by someone that i am not eligible because i don't have 5 years of POST-QUALIFICATION EXPERIENCE IN SAME FIELD. I am confused...please help. With above experience & qualification - AM I ELIGIBLE FOR 457 OR NOT? Thanks
Harriet Bridger
Yes It states that a bachelors degree is required which you have. It also states that if you don't have a bachelors degree then you must have the years of experience. You have both so you have a great case for 457 because you obviously have the skills and qualifications that Australia needs. That's what I've read though so it would still be good to get another opinion [emoji3] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Bungo
These skills requirements y have quote look like they are more intended for skills assessment for skilled migrant visas. Most 457 visa applications do not require a skills assessment and whilst obviously you need to have skills and experience it isn't usually such a rigorous process as for the skilled migrant visas. That is why sometimes people that cannot pass a skills assessment will try getting a 457 instead. I don't know what is specifically looked for your occupation. Is the company not going to use a migration agent?

And this is not about Skill Assessment for Skilled Migration, i am not even thinking of that. It's purely a 457 case, but even there you need to fulfill the requirements - right? So just double checking if am eligible or not.
Bellala
I have read many articles and the documents from DIBP. There are some points that I need to clarify and confirm. Please give us some answers if anyone professional or experienced before. 1. Do I need skill assessment? 2. Could I apply 186 direct scheme for PR without applying 457 first for 2 years and than 186? In terms of company, is there any difference for them to prepare the documents and payment for 457 and 186? 3. For how long should the company advertise the recruitment for the marketing vacancies? is that hard to prove ? 4. How much roughly the company need to pay? Thanks for the answers.
