Hi all

I am in the process of uploading the supporting documents for our visa - 189 skilled visa with my fiance, he is the main applicant.

After alot of pleading with a previous employer of his we have finally managed to get an employment reference from when he was there 4 years ago, i was wondering does the Auz Gov get in touch with each of his previous employers through the references we have provided?

Or do the Auz Gov just check our supporting documents and do not follow them up?

Thanks all!

Also should we get all documents certified? as i read that any documents that are not original copies should be certified but then i also read somewhere else that it was certified passport, certified birth certificate, ID etc but didn't say certified employment and qualification documents.

Thank you in advance!!

You cannot be included as a secondary applicant on your fiancés application.

The DIBP often undertake integrity checks, sometimes by unannounced workplace visits.
