VERYSTORMY
Hi Alan. This could cause issues and I would suggest you speak to a specialist migration agent such as George Lombard who specialising in applications with medical issues

Tickled Pink
If you do manage to get a visa make sure you have deep pockets as far as health care is concerned. I work in the neuro field, I worked in the NHS for over a decade before moving here. Things are not provided for in the same way here - anticipate that a whole lot of things would need to be paid for by you. Longer term, you many encounter equipment needs, home modifications, car modifications, even residential care. My medical specialism is MND and I estimate that the average cost for one person with this condition adds up to around $100,000 per head from beginning to end. Help can be available if you qualify, but every stage requires applications to various agencies, often with no assured outcome of grant. Just do your research... Nemesis
Thank you VERYSTORMY Does anyone have knowledge of persons rejected due to Parkinson's ? Thanks Once you get to talking about medical conditions ignore everyone else as your case becomes unique. I would echo the advice to talk to George Lombard. Alan
Thank you Tickled Pink...... that's very realistic & informative and most grateful you typed all that... phew! So 2 hurdles..... the money for care/adaptions as well as if getting ok'd in the medical examinations in spite of a degenerative brain disease. btw ....Who is & how do I find George Lombard ? VERYSTORMY
http://austimmigration.com.au/site/?q=node/21 George Lombard As pointed out, do some very careful research on the financial side. While Oz health care can be very good. It is not the same as the NHS and there are a lot of things you have to pay for.
