bristolman
Although you aren't old by any means I think your ages will be the deciding factor. I seem to recall it gets harder after 40 ? Others will have more details for you. Good luck.
bristolman
OK the age cut off is 50 so both of you are under that.
Bungo
hi,im 48 and my partner is 44 and we are thinking of emigrating to perth. tracy is a human resources advisor for a housing trust and im a welder/fitter.we are thinking of going under tracy for a visa not sure which one or if its the correct way or choice. we are looking for any advice or help in which way to proceed. many thanks The cut off date for skilled migration is 50 but it is nigh on impossible to qualify after the 45 birthday because the points test is very hard to pass. Trade qualifications usually only gain 10 points too, so unless you have a degree or better still phd up your sleeve, I would imagine you would be ruled out. But it would only take a few minutes to check your points so you might as well do that. Your OH stands a better chance, HR Adviser is on the CSOL and WA is sponsoring at the moment. So she would need to see if she can pass skills assessment and get an application in before the age of 45. Is she degree qualified? I note that the skills assessing body is vetassess and she would need a degree in order to pass skills assessment. the degree does not necessarily need to be related to her occupation. MaggieMay24
I believe HR Advisor is a Schedule 2 occupation for WA so she'd need a job offer in order to be sponsored.
