sami
My husband's company will be submitting the application for Visa 186 (from 457) before the end of the month. We were planning on taking a short holiday outside Australia, at the end of August, but I don't know if are actually allowed to travel while waiting for the visa to come through. Any problem with that, or what if the visa is granted while we are away? Thanks
Aussiegirl
You can travel anywhere while it is being processed I think, you can go to Aussie for the duration of the visa if you want too, but can't work there, but can visit
MaggieMay24
If the 457 is still in effect, you can travel freely. If the 457 expires and you're on a BVA, you'd need to apply for a BVB to re-enter Australia at the end of your trip. The 186 can be granted while you're in Australia or overseas. sami
Thanks Maggie May. Our 457 expires in Nov 2017, in that case there would be no problem to travel if the PR comes through while we are away from Australia.
